Lior Eitan, one of Israel's leading flutists, has for many years been active as a soloist and in the chamber music scene. He plays freely on all four members of the flute family – Piccolo, Flute, Alto Flute and Bass Flute – and on many occasions uses all four of them in the same concert.

As an enthusiastic advocate of music written in his homeland Israel, he commissions every year new works from Israeli composers and gives their world premiere. In addition, Lior arranges masterworks by classical composers for woodwind ensembles. Some of these unique arrangements were published by Svitzer edition.

Lior Eitan was born in Israel and completed his studies with distinction at the Tel Aviv Academy of Music in 1985. In the same year, at age 22, he was appointed principal flutist of the Israel Sinfonietta. Since 1988 he has been solo Piccolo with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. As a world renowned piccolo soloist, he is often invited to participate in international symposiums and conventions.

In 1995 Lior recorded his first CD, featuring works arranged for Flute and Harp. Since then he has recorded seven more CD’s for the Israel Music Institute, “Centaur”, “Meridian” and “Romeo” labels.
